The end of the world as we know it?
Over the past few months, oil prices rise, interest rates rise, home building rise. You see the national debt at alltime highs. You see China buying everything, especially oil .

There is a reckoning, and this site says it all explicitly. How do we handle the ex-CEO's request for obnoxious child support, because she has no job, when in the end, it doesn't matter?

Deep Thoughts - more to come....

Father's Day or Is It?
Oh, what a horrible battle that is being waged. The ex-CEO decided that on Father's Day, she should announce to her children that she is buying a condo in Vail with her friend (not a good influence on the kids - another story for another day) so they can go up whenever they want.

How wrong is it for so many reasons?
1. It's Father's Day, for gosh sake. You will get the kids tomorrow. You can't even hold yourself back for 24 hours????
2. This is another blow in the "competition" that she has to prove what a great mother she is. I can't even take my kids away for a weekend without her trying to one up me.
3. Just me, but shouldn't you be looking for a job instead of spending more money with an income from me?

The See You Next Tuesday phrase seems underwhelming for this latest game. I'm just trying to be a dad, with a lot of complications. I lose money every day I'm not travelling on the road, by paying off the ex-CEO as well as not recovering my salary. And now this?

Yuck - just another piece of a tough day. Girlygirl has been throwing up all day and put a crimp in plans for more hiking and playing - so we are stuck at home. We had a good time in Wyoming, long drive, beautiful country, and next time we'll bring our tent.

I'm trying to get my financial affairs in order as quick as possible. The architects are now just about paid off. Temple is paid off. Lawyer is still a little more, but should be handleable in the next couple of months. I should be able to save up for a little while.

The other project will probably stop this week. I need to put it away and save up some money so that I can have some backup money readily available. Maybe a refinance or two would be good......

Life as of now?
I've been riding my bike to work the last two days. It's only 3.5 miles each way, but it's nice and easy along the bike trail.

Trying to figure out work and what needs to go on. Trying to figure out the social life situation. I'm not sure what I want to do. KarmaGirl is great, but....not what I'm looking for. I think I just want to kick back and enjoy. There are lots of people I need to hook up with and get back into. There was a big (well used to be, now only 900 people) conference in Dallas this week that would have been interesting networking, but I would probably have spent every night with KarmaGirl. Oh well.

Kids are great. Took them to White Fence Farm - it's getting tougher to figure out things for them to do, but that's a dad's job, huh?

The ex-ceo got fired. How funny is that??

Dreamy - from N house.... Posted by Hello

A week with the (grand +) parents
Finally! A week away - not how I planned, but....good

First - Flight from home to JFK at 1am - awesome - dressed the kids in their PJs and they slept on the plane. Arrived at 630, and drove to parents house. First, Cousin J and kids came up for the day...very nice

Sunday, Cousin P and Uncle M/Aunt J and Brickmans came over. Very nice. Brother Ken(t) came in for the day from Atlanta.

Monday, whole bunch of nothing except Mini Golf

Tuesday, Lunch at American Girl store - didn't think we would make it, due to construction on the Sprain Brook, but I got mom and the kids to the door at 2:14 - when it started at 2:30. Took me twenty minutes to find parking - gotta love manhattan. After, new outfit for girly-girl, and then the Ferris Wheel at Toys R Us. Finally, Dad met us down and we went to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - very good.

Wednesday, whole bunch of nothing, except Mini Golf (with Shar and kids)

Thursday, Six Flags New England with me and kids only - very nice - gotta love the awesome season pass thing.....doesn't mean that you don't spend money - you just get nickeled and dimed the whole time.....

Friday, whole bunch of nothing - helped dad out with house cleaning, and then temple with mom at night. Off we go home.

Pictures soon....
